Book Nerd's Mary Top 10 Authors of ALL TIME!

It is very hard to limit my favorite authors to 10 but I did and I am so happy to be sharing the list with you all. I am going to go backwards that way I can keep you in suspense.

10. M. Leighton – I have read so many books in my life but I have never read a story line like M. Leighton’s books.  Her Madly Series is a combination of mermaids and famous fairy tales.  You think that would be a confusing book but it is not.  She uses her mind-boggling talent to create a smooth and understandable story that will stick with you.

9. Tiffany King – I have just recently fallen in love with this author.  I first read her book “Wishing for Someday Soon” and cried through most of it because she made you feel for the characters like no other.  I just finished her Saving Angels series and it was just as excellent.  Tiffany knows how to keep you on the edge and keeps you wanting more.

8. Nicole Williams – I found Nicole’s Eternal Eden series by pure accident.  I was just bored and looking through Amazon when I came across her books.  Loving the Eternal Eden series is an understatement.  They truly are the most astounding books.  Then she wrote the Patrick Chronicles and I fell in love even more.  Nicole has recently written and amazing (non-supernatural) book called Crash and I think everyone should read it!  Her talent is staggering!

7. Elizabeth Hunter – I never thought that any author could make me love a vampire more than Stephanie Meyers’ Edward Cullen.  Well, I was WRONG!  After reading the Elemental Mysteries series I can say with all my heart that I love Giovanni Vecchio more than Edward Cullen.  Elizabeth took the vampire world and put an incredible, suspenseful, and unique twist on it.  I think she has a better grasp of the supernatural world than anyone.

6. Elizabeth Reyes – Moreno Brothers, need I say anything else!  I could say so much about the Moreno Brothers but I am trying to keep it rated PG.  There are 5 books in this series and each is just as good as the next!  I cannot say enough how talented Elizabeth Reyes is! You can tell in her stories that she loves her character very much.

5. Quinn Loftis – Werewolves?! I never thought I would see the day that I was in love with werewolves!  However, Quinn has me in love with them.  Her series The Grey Wolves is incredible!  Her character, Jennifer Adams, is the funniest character I have EVER read! Decebel and Fane are pretty hot, too!  I cheered, laughed, and cried with these characters and cannot wait for what is in store in their next book.

4. Rachel Higginson – Rachel is the ONLY author who has EVER made me fall in love with a character, then hate that same character, and then fall back in love with that character.  Her Star-Crossed series is astounding.  The twist and turns that she puts through are like an emotional roller coaster but is worth every single word.

3. Suzanne CollinsHunger Games trilogy hold a place in my heart that no one can remove.  Suzanne wrote the best trilogy ever! I will forever love Haymitch, Katniss, and Peeta with all my heart!  The story will live far beyond anyone else on this Earth.  When she wrote these characters I do not think she realized what an impacted they would have on everyone’s lives, including mine.  I truly could read these everyday and never get bored of them.

2. Shelly Crane – If I said it once I have said it a million times: “SHELLY CRANE IS THE BEST!”  I will argue that point with anyone and everyone.  Her Significance series is the greatest series ever.  Caleb and Maggie will be two characters that I will never forget.  Their love and will to protect their family is marvelous.  She also writes some other great series: Collide, Devoured, and Stealing Grace.  I have yet to read something of hers that I have not LOVED.

1. Jane Austen – Mr. Darcy was my first true fictional love.  I have read and reread every book of Jane Austen’s at least a million times.  Those books have been a huge part of my life and when I first bought my Kindle they were the first that I purchased.  I own at least 5 different Pride and Prejudice because I wore them out from reading them so much.  Jane Austen will always be number 1 to me!
