This Same Earth by Elizabeth Hunter

Good Reads Description:

Beatrice De Novo thought she had left the supernatural world behind…for the most part. But when the past becomes the present, will she leave her quiet life in Los Angeles to follow a mystery she thought had abandoned her? Where has Giovanni Vecchio been, and why has he returned? Giovanni has his own questions, and he’s looking to her for answers.

The sequel to A Hidden Fire will reunite Beatrice and Giovanni to continue their search through the past while both wrestle with the future. When the world as you knew it has changed forever, is there any way you can turn back?

This Same Earth is the second book in the Elemental Mysteries series. It is a paranormal romance/mystery for adult readers.

REVIEW:

This is Book 2 of the Elemental Mysteries and let me tell you this was the hardest one to read, but was had some of my favorite parts.

The Prologue was so hard for me to read.  It was just Beatrice writing in a journal in August (just August) for 5 years.  SAD! SAD! SAD!  I was so upset at Elizabeth Hunter for this part because I wanted Gio and Beatrice to be together! FOREVER!  I understand why Gio did what he did but I do not have to like it.

However, Gio does come back and needs help from Beatrice again.  Of course, Beatrice is not going to be very trust worthy of Gio, nor his intentions.

The one thing that I most enjoyed is: 1 - Beatrice is not as weak as she was the last book.  2 - Benjamin is so cute and funny.  3 - Gio is not so "tough".  He has a softer side.

However, the mystery still is not completely solved.

Onto Book 3.
