Between the Lives by Jessica Shirvington WITH GIVEAWAY!

Above all else, though I try not to think about it, I know which life I prefer. And every night when I Cinderella myself from one life to the next a very small, but definite, piece of me dies. The hardest part is that nothing about my situation has ever changed. There is no loophole.
Until now, that is...

For as long as she can remember, Sabine has lived two lives. Every 24 hours she Shifts to her ′other′ life - a life where she is exactly the same, but absolutely everything else is different: different family, different friends, different social expectations. In one life she has a sister, in the other she does not. In one life she′s a straight-A student with the perfect boyfriend, in the other she′s considered a reckless delinquent. Nothing about her situation has ever changed, until the day when she discovers a glitch: the arm she breaks in one life is perfectly fine in the other. With this new knowledge, Sabine begins a series of increasingly risky experiments which bring her dangerously close to the life she′s always wanted... But just what - and who - is she really risking? (from Goodreads)

Flo's Review
This book was interesting in that I started to listen to it and thought, "Nah, I don't really like it..." But then, I must have been deluding myself, because I couldn't stop listening to it! Eventually, I was completely hooked. I even ended up having to drive like an hour away for an event that I missed (but that's another story!) and I wasn't even phased by it because I knew it would let me keep listening to this one.

I got this audiobook as a prize directly from Jessica Shirvington. At the time, it wasn't even out in the U.S. yet -- I'm not sure about now. What I do know is that the audiobook is Australian and that means that the narrator has an accent! It was really cool! (Yes, it's the little things that entertain me...)

But back to the story. Ethan <3 The way Jessica kept describing him bite his bottom lip made me want to bite it, to! Surprisingly, this intended effect worked for me, where in other books the overly repetitious lip biting thing has just annoyed me. (I'm looking at YOU, Fifty Shades of Grey!) I have to admit, though, that I did not like the end. The very end, I mean. There was one last element that seemed too forced, too fake for me. Had the story ended a chapter earlier I would have liked that a lot more.

  3. I've never actually listened to an audiobook before but they'd be great for boring bus rides. :)
