The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening by L. J. Smith

This is all Flo's fault! The whole Vampire Diaries series is all Flo's fault!

Well, let me start from the beginning.  Flo LOVES the Vampire Diaries (more than anything) and I was seeing her tweets about it, but I never watched the series or read any of the books.  So, one night on Netflix I saw that the first 2 seasons were on there and I thought "Why not?!"  O.M.G I was hooked! I wanted more of Stefan, Damion, and Elena I just could not get enough and all the characters were amazing!

Then I figured I should read the books. (Y'all know how much I love my series).  I was warned that the books were much different than the series but that does not bother me that much.   I WAS WRONG!

The Book series SUCKS! I am not meaning that in a good way either.  They are nothing like the series and I could not wait to the first book was O-V-E-R! The only reason that I kept reading was because I was hoping that it would get better. WRONG AGAIN!  The plot is kind-of the same but the characters (up to include their personalities) are so much different that it was just WRONG!

I am just going to stick to the series on the CW and stay away from the books!

  2. Yeah -- as much as I love the show, I've never read the books because that's the opinion I've heard all around.

I'm curious about The Secret Circle...any one know if it's the same situation with the books/movie, since it's the same book author and show producer?

  3. The first too were o.k., but the 3rd and 4th were TERRIBLE! I just stopped after that. I will be sticking to just the show from now on as well. I can't get enough of Ian Somerhalder (Mr. Smolder).
