BOOK REVIEW: Innovera Yakov: The Journey of A Thousand Eyes by Kia Garriques

Goodreads Description:

Be prepared to immerse your self in a world where falling in love could cost you your life and nothing is as it seems.

Innovera Yakov – The Journey of A Thousand Eyes is the first installment in an action-packed fantasy drama where characters with powers of healing and destruction live, love, compete and disappear without a trace while they are being prepared for the Journey.

What is the Journey? What happens to the ones who do not return? What unspeakable, stomach-churning things can happen to them there?

Even Ayana the Great Healer, Krave ‘The Golden One’ and the powerful Blu Tara are terrified of it.

Mary's Review:

I need to make a public apology to Kia Garriques. She sent me a review request several months ago, but other things kept popping up,

So, Kia I'm very sorry that it took me so long.

Onto the review:

The blurb of the book doesn't really do it any justice. There is more to it than what meets the eye.

This whole world is so unique. I can't believe that it isn't because Kia was so descriptive and you really could see in your mind.

Ayana is by far my favorite character. I like her the most because every though she is a big part of the story I got the impression she was still an outsider in some situation.

Then there is Blu Tara and Gamma, the twins. They have a lot of issues with boys and personal. They broke up a lot of time when the story was getting a little 'stalled'.

I didn't care for the story in the very beginning. It took me a couple of chapters to get into it. Then it started getting interesting. Then there were more characters coming into the story and pieces of the puzzles came together.

The last 20% of the was amazing and I really really liked it!!!

I will be reading book 2!!!
