Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

Good Reads Description:

The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate percentage of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend America, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the charming college co-ed. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his charms, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’ apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Mary's Review:

Once again I need to thank my Twitter buddy @LuvMyHootie because she loaned me this book.  I was up until 3 am reading this book.  It was great!

Let me explain, you all know that I love my supernatural guys and couples, but sometimes a girl needs "regular" characters and Jamie McGuire delivered!  I fell head over heels for Travis and Abby!  It was so nice to read a book that I could actually relate to because it could happen (somewhat).  Jamie McGuire did keep me guessing about some parts and I kept rooting for Travis and Abby to get together the whole time.

Once Abby's past came back to her, I could understand why she wanted to keep it a secret.  Then you had Travis who was so protective of Abby that he would not let her out of his sight.  But when you put it altogether they were perfect.  On top of Travis and Abby, I loved America and Shepley.  They really tied the story all together! Even though there were no supernatural beings in this story, Jamie McGuire knows how to tell a great story and keep you wanting more.

If you check out Jamie McGuire site you can see that there will soon be a Travis point of view book and I cannot wait for that one.
