RELEASE DAY BLITZ: Finding Faith (Book 2 of The Blow Hole Boys) by Tabatha Vargo

FINDING FAITH BLURB

A little FAITH can get you through…

One night. That’s all Finn had with the only girl he ever loved. Years
later, all he has left of that night is a silver cross, a broken give a
damn, and the unrelenting desire to drink her memory away. As the lead
singer of Blow Hole, Finn has his pick of women, but none are able to squash
the need he still carries around for Faith. To hate her offers some relief,
but when Finn sees her again after so many years, it’s hard to despise her.
Especially when every reason he had to hate her, turn out to be lies.

As the daughter of a strict Baptist preacher, Faith Warren lived sheltered
from all things sinful. When she met Jimmy Finn, the epitome of all seven
deadly sins, she found out exactly what she was missing. After being forced
to choose between her soul and the only person in the world who made her
feel alive, Faith walked away from Finn and dove head first into her
father’s preferred life. But now Finn’s back and he’s getting payback by
wreaking havoc on her emotions. Except sometimes bad things feel good, and
Faith has to decide once again if she wants to stay in her gilded cage or
fly free with the dark angel of lust himself.

“Tabatha Vargo is a USA Today bestselling author from a small town just
outside of Charleston, SC. Tabatha is a sweet tea sippin', front porch
sittin' kind of girl from the south. She loves old, historical anything,
wind chimes, and all things romantic. She is the mother of a seven-year-old
rockstar/princess and the wife of her very own Prince Charming. When she

time with her friends and family. Her first publication was a little poem in
her elementary school paper and from that point on she was hooked. She
finished her first novel, ‘Wicked Fate’, in 2009 and released it in November
2012. She has since released ‘On the Plus Side’, USA Today bestselling
‘Playing Patience’, and ‘Perfecting Patience’.”

All that’s left of that boy is me, and all you’ll ever get from me is a
quickie and a door in your face.” ~ Finn, Finding Faith

“Throughout is all, there was only one thing I knew for sure. Finn was made
for sin.” ~ Faith, Finding Faith

“It’s only fair. I sang for you. Just let go, baby. I wanna hear you sing
for me.” ~ Finn, Finding Faith

EXCERPT

He’s here, just inside the electric-blue doors that mark the entrance to hell. I can sense him. The part of me that lives inside him calls to me. The connection is so strong that it takes my breath away. For a brief moment I begin to hyperventilate. Even if it wasn’t a matter of life or death, I’d still want to be here more than any other place on earth. Here, in a back alley of the city of sin.

I’m pulled towards him, so I waste no more time and push the doors open. The stench of lust and cigarette smoke invades my senses. The distinct smell of pheromones and overly sweet perfume mixes in for a very nauseating scent.

He’s knows I’m here. He can sense me the way I sense him and even though I can’t see him, I feel his eyes on me.

The loud techno music is distracting as I make my way through the crowded room. Half naked women rub themselves like horny cats against silver poles. One in particular catches my attention. She bends with the music allowing her platinum hair to fall over before she shakes it back and forth. She runs her hands up her knee high boots before throwing her head back—platinum locks thrashing around her narrow face. She looks down at me from her mini stage and mirror eyes flash with her overly seductive smile.

I turn away quickly and my eyes land on him. The moment I see him, the side of his mouth twitches into an evil smirk. Adam would never smile at me that way, and yet, there he is.

Book Title:  Playing Patience
Author:  Tabatha Vargo
Release Date:  April 26th 2013
Genre:  New Adult/Romance/Contemporary
Presented by:  As You Wish...

BLURB

Sometimes all you need is Patience.

Life’s been hard for Zeke. Being a punching bag for his alcoholic father has turned him into stone. Not even the dodgy trailer park he lives in can scare him. Fighting is his release and sex, drugs, and his guitar bring him peace, but deep down Zeke isn’t quite as hard as he makes himself out to be. When he meets Patience, she finds all his broken pieces and puts him back together, but she’s a ray of light in his shadowed life and the last thing he wants to do is bring her into his dark world. Playing careless is easy, playing the bad guy can be fun, but playing Patience is impossible, especially when she can see right through him.

Zeke isn’t the only one who’s broken, and for the first time, in a long time, Patience feels alive. Her black and white world gets a shot of color when she meets Zeke. He’s unlike anyone she’s ever met with his tattoos, piercings, and blunt honesty. She wants nothing more than to let go and ride the wild side with him, but some wounds never heal and the broken pieces of Patience aren’t so easy to find.

***Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature readers only. Not intended for young adult readers.***

EXCERPTS
Her cheeks turned pink and a frown pulled on her pouty mouth.
“I shouldn’t have come here. I just wanted to say thanks.” Her eyes cut me before she turned and walked away.
She made it to the hood of the waiting car, before my conscious peeked out and slapped the shit out of me.
“Hey,” I called out to her.
She stopped and faced me again. Instantly, I felt like the biggest dick in the south when I saw her eyes brimming with tears. Someone so sensitive didn’t stand a chance around a person like me, but knowing that I’d probably never see her face again made it okay for me to kind of apologize for being myself for some reason.
“I’m rude, but you’ve seen first hand what happens to shiny things in a chop shop,” I gestured to the world around us. “Your best bet is to stay away from these parts, princess. A pretty thing like you wouldn’t last two hours out here. How long were you at The Pit last night before you were dying on the bathroom floor? An hour, tops? Think of my rudeness as a blessing.” I adjusted my guitar case in my sweaty palm and turned toward my trailer door.
I looked back to get one final glimpse of her. The contrast between her and the trailer park around her was alarming, although, with her fair skin, white hair, and pale, blue eyes, I’m sure she stuck out just about anywhere she went. She was unique, a single snowflake with her own icy patterns, and if she stayed in my hell any longer she’d melt.
“Have a nice trip back to Wonderland, Snowflake,” I said, as I opened my the door,
“My name is Patience,” she snapped.
Patience…it was as unique as its owner. I liked it, although, I’d never admit that out loud. Instead, I shook my head and laughed like she had told me a joke, walked inside, and shut her out.

MY REVIEW:

Before I start my review I want to tell you a story.  Tabatha and I meet each other through Facebook.  She was a fantastic person, very funny and we hit off right away.  I was so excited when she asked me to beta read her first book Wicked Fate.  When I finished that book I told Tabatha (and this is true you can ask her) she would be a household name.  She laughed at the statement, but I totally believed it in my heart.  Then she told me about On Plus Side and I flipped with excitement. I could not wait to read it.  When I did get my hands on it Tabatha did not disappoint.  Again, I told her she was on the verge of being a household name.  Then came this book, Playing Patience.  Tabatha did not tell me much about this book until she asked me to read the first 10 chapters.  So I did and I was losing it.  Tears, excitment and love were the emotions I felt.  IT WAS ONLY THE FIRST 10 CHAPTERS.  When the book was done and Tabatha sent it to me, I did nothing but focused on this book.

When I finished it, I jumped on Facebook and contacted Tabatha.  These were my first words to her:

"This is the book that will set you apart from every other author. This is the book that will make you a household name."

That is the truth!

Onto my Review:

Best part of the book: I know that you think I am going to dive in and ooh and aahh over Zeke.  Well, you are half right because I love Patience so much too.  I have never felt so connected to two characters ever.  Zeke is broken, truly broken.  He has had a rough life but somehow he has pushed on.  Then Patience fell into his life.  Oh, Patience! Patience is a character that I physically wanted to grab out of my Kindle and hug and protect her. I love her.  I love that she protects her sister and mother.  I love that she will, literally, do anything for her family.  She does this and along the way she is the one that is hurt.

When Zeke and Patience finally begin hanging together, without being in jail, they realized they needed each other.  Their strong, determined and broken personalities made them perfect together. With each chapter, my love for them both grew.  I could not get enough of their story.

Not so great about the book: There is not one thing that is wrong with this book.  If you read it, you will understand what I mean.  This is Tabatha's masterpiece.

Friday Fives: The Top 5 Authors Who Influence You

Hey, I actually came up with this weeks Friday's Five! Crazy right!?!?!?!  Usually Jacque and Teri are way better at it!!!  But, I thought about it and this just seemed like a good topic.  The problem was I have more than 5 ... so, let's see how this goes ....

1.  Shelly Crane.  This author will forever be the picture perfect author in my life.  Am I putting her above everyone else?? Oh YES I AM!!! If you read just one of her books, you can see/feel her talent, the love for her characters and overall niceness ooze onto the pages.  Shelly has become a friend of mine (and of this site), but I put her above all others because .... well, she is it!  Look it up, she is the author that authors want to be.  She writes book after book, each different and unique, and does it with class!  Recently her book, Significance, will soon be made into a movie (yes, I died when I heard that).  Overall, she is it! Period!

2. Rachel Higginson.  What?!?! You think I forgot about Rachel!!! NEVER!! Now, I can go on and on about Kiran ... I mean....Rachel's books, but I am not going to.  Anyone who has every read any of my reviews (or anything on this site) knows why Rachel is important in my life.  Yes, I joke around about Kiran (who is my fictional boyfriend from her Star Crossed Series) but the truth is Rachel has done something no author has ever done to me.  Yep, she made me love a character, hate that same character and then fall back in love with that character.  On top of that, she is the reason my Kindle is cracked in the corner.  Let's just say theses two words... HOPELESS MAGIC!  (read it and you will understand)

3.  Tiffany King.  Here is how I describe Tiffany .... HEART OF GOLD!  The woman is the sweetest, most caring and kind person I KNOW! Her book, Wishing For Someday Soon, is my autobiography (and she doesn't even know me).  I cried so much with that book that I had a headache for days!  That is true talent! And just when I thought she could not top it she wrote, Miss Me Not.  To this day I cannot describe that book because no words due it justice.  That is an author!!

4.  Lila Felix.  Lila is new in my Book Nerd life.  Even though she has several books under her belt she has done something through her books that I did not believe was possible.  She taught to see mohawks, tattoos/piercings and people who wear them in a different light.  NO I am not a person to make fun or be mean to someone who has a different appearance than mine.  However, she taught me to look pass that and she did that through her books: Love and Skate and How It Rolls.  I live in a diverse area and have recently visited some "punk-rock" bars and learn a lot about the community.  Yep, even made some new friends.  Oh, and I am getting my first tattoo next month! But, I still refuse to dye my hair!  I wouldn't look good in blue! (just saying).  That is all because of Lila!

5.  Quinn Lofits.  I cannot form words that does Quinn any justice.  So, I will say this ... DECEBEL!  That is it!  That is all needs to be said.  Well, maybe I can say a few more.  Quinn has a few qualities that make her stand out in my Book Nerd Life.  She writes the funniest character, Jennifer.  She is the QUEEN OF CLIFFHANGERS! Lastly,  her talent is endless!

So, there is only to be 5, but lets do some more:

Honorable Mentions

-   Bailey Aridsone.  This is a sister - duo writing team and they are new to the Indie community, but they  still have influenced my Book Nerd life.  Their debut novel, Sweet Oblivion, is amazing.  It is a twist of two worlds and it is perfection.  On top of that, they are the kindest ladies, EVER!  I also picked them because I how a special place in their lives.  Why, you ask?  Well, I am there #1 fan.  I was the first to read and review their book! That is an honor I treasure.

-   Tabatha Vargo.  Tabatha has a serious pallet of talent.  YA, NA, paranormal, the lady is everywhere and is perfect at it!  Above all, her love for her fans is beyond measure.  She is so sweet and it comes across on the page and through her characters.  Be sure to watch her closely, she will BE THE NEXT HOUSEHOLD NAME!

-   Jessica Jaster.  You just read that I called Quinn Loftis the QUEEN OF CLIFFHANGERS, well meet Jessica Jaster, the PRINCESS OF CLIFFHANGERS.  She does the same thing Quinn does. She pulls you in and then just puts up a brick wall.  I read her first book Delta Project: Hide and died at the ending.  So, when I got an ARC of Delta Project: Rescue I did not think she would do it to  me again.  Oh, well SHE DID! Mad is the best way to describe my emotions at that very last line.  That is why she is so amazing!! Because she can do that!

BLOG TOUR: On the Plus Side by Tabatha Vargo REVIEW

Let me tell you a story:

I am Tabatha Vargo's biggest fan! (no pun intended) She is an amazing person inside and out! When I beta read her debut novel Wicked Fate, I did not think it could get better.  But, she then was telling me about this book, On the Plus Side, and I thought "Sounds Awesome!!"

When she asked me to beta read this, I jumped at the chance. I knew the book would be good because Tabatha is a amazing author.  However, the point of this is...Tabatha didn't just write a book with some characters.  She wrote about people, with feelings! One thing that I will say about Tabatha is that she is the most descriptive author I KNOW!  I cried with this book, got mad at this book and LOVED EVERY SINGLE WORD OF THIS BOOK.

I am not saying this because Tabatha has become my friend, I saying this because it is the truth.  Before long she will be a household name and she deserves it!

Now, onto the tour and review:

About the book:

My Review:
One word: DEVIN! Need I say anymore that that!!??  Well, he is HOT, does that help??!!

Best Part of Book: Ok, I already said Devin but there really is so much more.  Lilly is a very rich lady and a overweight, however she is the sweetest most kind person ever.  The problem is: no boyfriend and feels that she will never find true love.  However, her mother has another idea.  She pays Devin a lot of money to date Lilly and then he is just suppose to leave.  Well, that is quite what happens.  Things become complicated and Lilly really gets Devin to show his true self.  Devin has a lot of issues and I really feel bad for the guy and Lilly was just the most perfect person for him.  However, Devin is just caring about the himself and his family and does not think of the long term of this arrangement. Tabatha does not just leave it at that.  She adds twists, turns and a HUGE surprise to make this story perfect.

Not so Great about the book: I wished the epilogue was a bit longer. But, I just wanted more and did not want it to end!

Book 8: On Dublin Street by Samantha Young
I would have never heard of this book if Kathryn from TSK TSK What To Read had not been pimping it so hard on Facebook (pun intended).  I am not sure how I have survived my Book Nerd Life without Braden Carmichael!  Hot, yummy Scotsman! LOVE this story and just read it again this past weekend!!  Just a great story all around!

Book 9: Wicked Fate by Tabatha Vargo
What can I say about Tabatha Vargo that I have not said a thousand times before?  She is amazing, talent and a great person!  Her debut novel, Wicked Fate, will knock you down.  It is such a great story and I know that book 2 will be just as good, if not better.  Tabatha Vargo is working on some great projects for 2013 and I can't wait.

Book 10: Perchance by Lila Felix
*shakes head* Lila, Lila, Lila, where have you been all  my Book Nerd Life?!?!?!?!  Lila Felix is a 2012 debut author and already has 3 books published.  One, she is a writing machine.  Two, her fan demand more from her the moment we put the book down.  Perchance is my favorite of the novels she has published in 2012.  I cannot wait to see what is in store for 2013.  I know that she will not disappoint!

Book 11: Beyond The Veil by Quinn Loftis
Quinn is the Luna of all books! The Grey Wolf Series has quickly become my most favorite series.  Even though, Quinn has become the LUNA of cliffhangers.  It never fails that I am cussing at the end of one of her books because she has ripped out my Book Nerd heart and I am wanting more!  that is true talent there!  I know that 2013 will bring book 6 of the Grey Wolf series.  Along with that she is writing a new series called Elfin (also great!)

But in all seriousness, I need to THANK QUINN for bringing Decebel in my life!!

Toni Aleo knows how to write a hockey book and series!  I will let it go that she is a Nashville Predators fan since she has given me 3 new fictional boyfriends!! Empty Net is my favorite of her series and I love Tate SO MUCH!!

If you have not read this .. you MUST!! Even if you don't like hockey this is still a great read.  Please remember that it is an adult book
