Friday's Fictional Boyfriend:
Daemon Black from Jennifer Armentrout's Obsidian (Lux Series)
I'd love to tell you that the moment I met Daemon it was love at first sight, um.......no. I drooled, sighed & lusted, but no love. I was however, sucked into Jennifer's witty & expensive writing from the first sentence. The first time we meet Daemon, he answers the door to Katy. Did I mention he answers the door only wearing jeans?? Yeah, his messy black hair falling into his emerald green eyes *sigh*. Sexy right??? Daemon shatters this masterpiece by opening his mouth! Yes he's just another arrogant loudmouth jerk with a sexy body. Katy tries to avoid Daemon as much as possible. He however, makes this all but impossible when Katy becomes best friends with his sister Dee. Daemon tries hard to make the girl's new found friendship difficult. He never misses an opportunity to tell Katy that she & Dee should not be friends.
Then one day Daemon's rough exterior cracks & he asks Katy to go swimming with him. Yes you read that correctly ladies.....a date, a date with Daemon in very little clothing!!! Katy is able to slightly crack Daemon open & discover that unbearable attitude is just his way of keeping people at arms length & protecting Dee from devastating issues in their past. He also has a huge secret he must keep or it can put himself & Dee in grave danger. From this point forward, Daemon shows Katy tiny but rewarding glimpses at the "real" Daemon. He even saves Katy from an aggressive date.
By the time Katy took a deep breath & realized she was in love with Daemon, so was I!!! I couldn't believe it!!! All those little glimpses of him, added up to the sensitive, protective & endearing Daemon. Now Katy (& myself) were both in love with Daemon, not because of how he looked but WHO he truly is as a person. Then what happens when they kiss, wow I mean wow!! Let's just say its electrifying!!!
Take the time to unravel the intriguing & devastatingly handsome Daemon Black by grabbing your copy of Jennifer's book Obsidian today! I promise, you'll fall in love with him too!!

Friday Fictional Boyfriend: Mycah Nightly (SPECIAL GUEST POST)
This week is a little bit different!! I (Mary) normally do the Friday Fictional Boyfriends; however, this week we have a special guest sharing her favorite fictional boyfriend. My dear friend @Camelot77 is going to tell her about Mycah Nightly. On top of that, I am hosting a blog tour this week from the book where Mycah hails, Sweet Oblivion by Bailey Ardisone.
So, here is @Camelot77 and "her" Mycah Nightly:
Mycah *swoon & sigh* Nightly, I can never manage to say his name with out a little sigh at the end. Now I'm not going to lie, I have been in love with fictional boys before. Then I met Mycah *sigh* he makes all other boys nonexistent. This is very difficult to try and explain Mycah with just a few words.......sexy, daring, sexy, mysterious, sexy, passionate, sexy, brave, sexy, loyal, did I say sexy yet???
First, Mycah saves Nari from her drunken, violent step father. Second, when Nari is thrown into a series of mysterious events, Mycah not only steps in to help Nari, he willingly risks his own life to save here's Third, Mycah is very mysterious. He never tells Nari where he sneaks off to, just that he can't stay away from her for long because they're magnetically drawn together. Nari asks Mycah if it's become a habit of his to rescue her all the time. To which replies "I think it's more of an addiction" *squeeeeeeel* Last, but not least he has a British accent!! Is that not just the icing on the sexy cake that is Mycah????
I fell in love with Mycah from the moment he first saved Nari, but what sealed my fate & made my heart forever Mycah's was when he tells Nari his astonishing secret. All because he deeply loves he & desperately wants her in his life.
Want more of Mycah? Go grab Bailey Ardisone's Sweet Oblivion.......just remember Mycah is MINE *clears throat & fixes hair* I mean you'll love him too.
You can purchase Mycah....well, the book here:

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: Aiden St. Delphi
This weeks Fictional Boyfriend is:
Aiden St. Delphi
He hails from Jennifer L. Amentrout's Covenant Series.
While reading this series I was not sure on my feeling about him. Was he good? Could he really be trusted? What is up with the mood swings?
Aiden was very serious about his job with the Sentinel and he cared very much about his family. However, his relationship with Half-Blood, Alexandria Andros (Alex) is what I love to read the most. That is also where his "mood swings" come in at.

All of my answers came in the Book 3 of the Series: Deity! OMG! I love Aiden and he is more than what you can see (or what you read on the page)!
If you would like to purchase the first book of the series, Half - Blood, you can here:

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: Lucas Delos
I debated long and hard on this week's fictional boyfriend. I had three or four excellent choices to select from, but I ultimately settled on Lucas Delos. (Probably because I am wearing my Team Fate/Delos T-shirt at this very moment.) Lucas is from Josephine Angelini's Starcrossed series. Brace yourself...here is a picture Josie shared with her followers showing her vision of Lucas.
In addition to these, Lucas is a Falsefinder. He can tell when someone is not telling the truth, which for some reason did not work to his advantage during the first two books. Helen's mother told them a whopper of a lie and he fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Apollo is the god of light, which provides Lucas with the ability to bend light. This particular skill comes in handy during the second book in the series.
Lucas and Helen do not experience love at first sight. In fact, they actually try to kill each other. The fates cause members of different Greek houses to want to kill one another. After a particularly brutal battle between the two, they were able to settle their debts to each other's house and they are freed from the wrath of the fates.
We quickly discover that Lucas is not all looks. He is very sweet and caring. He is very protective of Helen, but he is not at all controlling. He is very supportive of Helen and puts her needs ahead of his. While it crushes him to see the effects the underworld is having on her, he realizes this is something she needs to do. He doesn't interfere, but he does think of a ways he can help.
A couple of quotes for you:
Lucas is a Demigod, a direct descendant of Apollo. He is over six feet tall and has exceptional strength. He is one of the few demigods who can fly. He is able to manipulate gravity to make himself light as a feather or as heavy as a rock. Fortunately, Helen has these same qualities and abilities. A couple of quotes for you:
“And I don't just WANT you, Helen. I LOVE you. Big difference.” - Lucas
"Even if it kills me, staying awake and seeing you... is better than any dream." - Helen to Lucas
"If other men were houses, Lucas was her Home." - A quote from Dreamless
I am anxiously awaiting a happily ever after to Lucas and Helen's relationship, which may never come. Josie hinted that this is a Greek tragedy and not everything will end the way we may hope. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she was not referring to Lucas and Helen when she made that statement. We will find out on May 28, 2013 when the final book in this trilogy, Goddess, is released.

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: Noah Shaw
For those of you who are not familiar with Noah Shaw, he is from the Mara Dyer series. The Evolution of Mara Dyer, the second book in the series, will be released this Tuesday October 23rd. I am BEYOND excited and can't wait to get my hands on this book. I have already pre-ordered my copy and feel like a kid at Christmas counting down the days until it magically appears on my Nook.
Noah is an English boy, ahhhh swoons over the accent. He is also brilliant, well educated, witty, arrogant, and a bit of a bad boy. He is from a very wealthy family, but his appearance is usually disheveled. His dark hair and clothes look like he just rolled out of bed and he has a perpetual 5 o'clock shadow, but for him the look is perfection. He doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to the ladies, but that all changes when he meets Mara. These two are destined to be together and for once in his life he treats a girl the way she should be treated.
Here are a couple of swoon worthy quotes from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer:

"And I won't settle for anything less.”
You want me as much as I want you. And all I want is you."
My tongue warred with my mind. "Today," I whispered.
Noah stood slowly, his body skimming mine as he rose. "Today. Tonight. Tomorrow. Forever."
The icing on top of the cake...Noah is a reader. His room is filled with bookshelves containing countless books, all of which he has read. Some of the books are a bit inappropriate, but what would you expect from a high school boy. The image at the top of this post is a copy of the book plate Michelle Hodkin is giving out at her upcoming book signings. It is a quote from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, which makes reference to Noah's book collection.

Friday Fictional Boyfriend: Triple Feature: Shea Adler, Lucas Brooks and Tate Odder
Sorry about not posting Friday Fictional Boyfriend the past couple weeks! Real life issues were in the way! So, this week I am going to give you 3....that's right 3....Fictional Boyfriends!!!!!! ENJOY!!!!
Fictional Boyfriend #1: Shea Adler
Oh, Shea, you sexy sexy Captain of the Assassins! I think of all three I love Shea the most. He stood by Elli with all of her self-esteem issues and her crazy family. I love that he was patient and kind. I loved that he fought for Elli no matter and loved her SO Much!!!
The other part that I loved about Shea was when he was on the ice. OH YEAH! I love me a hockey player that is for sure! He was determined, mean and an excellent player! YUMMY!
Fictional Boyfriend #2: Lucas Brooks
LUCAS BROOKS!! O.M.G!!! I LOVE HIM! Now, you know I am a sucker for a fictional boyfriend and I like a little bit of a "bad boy" but with a good side. Now, add in the fact he is a hockey player and you have #1 Fictional Boyfriend: Lucas Brooks.
Now, Lucas isn't just a bad boy. He truly loves Fallon and knows what he wants!
I love that he TRULY fights Fallon and he will do anything for her. I also love that he is "go big or go home" kind-of guy! Oh yeah, did I mention he was totally hot and a hockey player!
Fictional Boyfriend #3: Tate Odder
SWEDISH, HOT, YUMMY! That is how I would describe Tate Odder. Now, he is young, BUT he is extremely young (21) but when has that stopped me when it comes to a fictional boyfriend!
Tate really is a kind person with such a good heart. He loves Audrey more than anything! He is a good boy all around but a bad-a** goalie on the ice. Oh, did I say he was Swedish! Blonde hair and blue eyes *swoon*!

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: Liam James
Oh Liam James! *sigh* I loved Liam from the moment he graced me in the very first chapter.
Liam was the boy who would come into Amber Walker's bedroom to protect her, every single night. No, he did not protect her from "monsters" but from something even more dangerous.
Liam was so protective of Amber (or as he called her, Angel) and would do anything for her. He made me laugh, made me cry and made the book perfect!
The other thing that I loved about Liam, he is a Hockey player! Oh, I love some hockey players!
If you haven't read this book, I suggest that you do. Here is my review of the book. Once you start it you will love it and Liam! Just like I do!

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: William Hayward
Mary's Fictional Boyfriend
William Hayward. The name itself sounds strong and appealing! I have loved William since his first graced the pages of Nicole Williams' Eternal Eden series.
William was like no other character. Not only was he strong, good looking but he loved Bryn for so very long and waited for her no matter what. He loved his brother and family beyond words and would do anything for them.
Throughout the series William just got better with each turn of the page. I am so glad that he came into my life!!

Friday Fictional Boyfriend: Lucas Maxfield
Mary's Fictional Boyfriend:
Lucas *sigh* Maxfield! I did not realize I could love a fictional character this much, but I do.
First, he saved Jacqueline from being assaulted. Second, he is hot. Third, he is an artist. Lastly, he is hot with tattoos.
I loved Lucas from the very first time he came onto my Kindle. You might think "Emo-boy" but he is so much more. Kind, an artist, smart and loves Jacqueline so much!
I fell in love with him more when I learned about his past. Then when I thought I could not love him any more the ending of the book came and my heart exploded with love.
If you haven't met Lucas Maxfield then you need to read Easy. Just remember he is mine. Well, really he is Jacqueline's but that is okay.

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: Decebel Anghelescu
![]() |
Picture is from Quinn Loftis Website |
How do I explain Decebel? Tall, dark, handsome and a werewolf! What more could a girl ask for in a fictional boyfriend?
As much as Decebel is all those things, there is more to him. When Quinn brought out Out Of the Dark I saw a whole different side of Decebel. I saw him truly confess his love to his mate, Jennifer. I saw him with true emotions such as: laughter, crying and true happiness.
Of course he has Jennifer and the complement each other so well, but that does not mean I cannot wish for a werewolf like him. Let's not forget the whipped cream *wink*

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: Kiran Kendrick
Mary's Fictional Boyfriend:
Kiran Kendrick. His name alone makes me *swoon*. Although, this was not always the case.
Rachel Higginson is the ONLY AUTHOR that has made me love a character, hate that same character and then fall back in love with that character. Kiran was that character.
In Reckless Magic, I fell in love with Kiran. It was not a love at first sentence. Kiran was kind of a tease but then he officially declared his love to Eden and I was so happy.
Then came Hopeless Magic, I still loved him. He showed more of a loving side for Eden (even though some of it was not public). It was not till towards the end of the book that my hatred began for Kiran.
Next came Fearless Magic, my hatred for Kiran grew. I could not stand him and it was almost to the point that I was not going to finish the series. However, I stuck with it.
At last, Endless Magic, the beginning of the book I was still on my "Die Kiran Die" band wagon. However, as the story continued I saw what was really happening and my love came back. His love was still there; however, he just had a plan that we (as readers) did not see. (Very clever Rachel Higginson)
By the end of the series I do not think I could have loved Kiran more!! That is why he is this week's Fictional Boyfriend!

Friday's Fictional Boyfriends: Caleb Jacobson
Mary's Fictional Boyfriend of the Week
Caleb Jacobson is this weeks fictional boyfriend. Caleb is from Shelly Crane's Significance Series.
I am not even sure where to start to explain Caleb?! But, I will try my best.
Caleb is caring, compassionate and would do anything for his soul mate, Maggie. I have loved Caleb since the moment Maggie saved his life. He is always thinking of Maggie and his family first. I love how Caleb was so sweet with Maggie at first and did not push her into anything too fast. He is always telling Maggie how wonderful she is or how amazing she is and you know that he means it.
I think that Caleb is an amazing character and if want to know more about him then you can go to Shelly Crane's site and read Caleb's point-of-view of the story. Shelly pick one chapter from the first three books of the series and did them in Caleb's POV. Click here if you want to read them.

Friday's Fictional Boyfriend: Haymitch Abernathy
Mary's Fictional Boyfriend
If any of you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you know that I have a MAJOR obsession with Haymitch. He is actually my fictional husband (that is what my real-life husband told me that).
Usually people think I love Haymitch because he likes to drink as much as I do. Well, even though that is a perk to our "relationship" that is not the real reason for my love. In all honesty it upsets me when people only think of Haymitch as the "drunk mentor" of the Hunger Games. He is so much more.
Let me explain! Haymitch is so much more than a "drinker". If you have read all of the Hunger Games trilogy then you can see that there was so much more to Haymitch. He truly, truly cared for Peeta and Katniss. He loved his district. Drinking was just a way for him to not deal with all of his feelings that went along with his time in the Quarter Quell and having to watch children (that he probably knew) go into the Hunger Games and watch them killed. I do not think I could handle that myself. However, even through all that he was still there for Peeta and Katniss. If you can remember in Catching Fire and Mockingjay, Haymitch was a big part of the rebellion.
I love Haymitch's compassion, conviction and love for District 12. I love that he helps stand up against the Capitol and he knows the consequences. Haymitch will always be my number one fictional boyfriend (husband)!

Fictional Boyfriend Fridays Begins!
Flo, Jacque, Teri and I are truly Book Nerds. We love our books. However, we really love our BOYS in our books!
We each have our own Book Loves (aka Fictional Boyfriends) and we want to share them with you. So each Friday, we're going to feature -- okay, and fangirl -- over one of them. You might agree with us or you might not. Heck, sometimes we don't agree amongst ourselves! But none the less, we would love to hear your takes on our featured Fictional Boyfriend each week.
FYI: we can be territorial about them, too! Consider yourself warned.
