We are on Chapter 20 of Book 1: Significance
Here are the highlights:
Caleb: I'm her boyfriend, sir. It's nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you from Maggie.
Big John: Oh, is that right? Boyfriend. You mean dead man.

Caleb: Cheerleading? That totally just blew your little work outfit out of the water.
Maggie: It was only 9th and 10th grade. I did it because my mom wanted me to. I dropped out, it wasn't for me.
Caleb: And yet my fantasy lives.

I felt protectiveness, even some possessiveness, and a flare of anger burst towards me from Caleb. ---Maggie

Maggie: I'm sorry.
Caleb: It's in the past, Maggie
Maggie: Yeah, but you shouldn't have to have it.
Caleb: It's ok. I got the girl, right?
Maggie: You definitely got the girl.
